About us

Physiotherapists at Cambridge and Huntingdon clinics

Friendly Professional Physiotherapy Services
Cambridgeshire Sports Physio and Back Care was originally set up in Huntingdon in 2004 to provide the local community with the highest standards of treatment and patient care within a warm and friendly environment (you get a nice cup of tea or quality coffee on arrival!). As we have grown we have really tried to maintain the same peaceful and pleasant atmosphere that we had when we first started from our home. Our staff are chosen not only for their excellence in physiotherapy and administration but also their ability to make you feel listened to and cared for. We are confident you will notice the difference.

We now have two physiotherapy practices, Abbots Ripton (Huntingdon) and Cambridge

Our Aim
Whether you have come by your injury, through sport, wear and tear, gardening or any other cause, we are committed to helping you return to full function as quickly as possible and remain there. To enable this we embrace both western training and eastern techniques in order to best meet your needs.
It is our desire for you to leave your appointment with a better understanding of the nature of your injury and feeling like you have been given the attention and care you would expect.

Physiotherapy Treatment
Our physiotherapists are all fully qualified, registered with the Health Professions Council, members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and use various treatment modalities such as manual therapy, acupuncture and electrotherapy.
Your first appointment lasts 45 minutes and consists of an assessment and treatment. We ensure you have plenty of time to discuss your injury, ask questions and voice any concerns you may have.
Subsequent treatment sessions last 30 minutes. The follow up sessions consist of a brief discussion about your progress since the last session but the majority of the session will be focused on treatment that will bring about resolution of your condition.
We are recognised by all the major health insurance companies.  Our physiotherapists are also available for home visits - see our 'frequently asked questions' (FAQs)  page for more details.
